I gained a lot of Momentum at the SEMA show this year. As you can see the 4L60e auto transmission is out of the car and ready to ship to TCI ! I strapped down the transmission, the flexplate and the torque converter to the pallet, and shipped it out at a local freight dock. More on that in the future.
When removing the transmission, the bolts were removed, it was rocked it off the pins and straight down it went. I did not have to remove or loosen the headers, which was very nice. Also; beg, steal, or borrow a transmission jack, it is worth it.
Also you see, I’m using 2×4 block stands. They are very easy to build, and make it very nice to work under the car now. They are much more stable than jack stands and taller. I recommend them if you don’t have a hydraulic lift in your garage, and only if they are built correctly (as seen).
Lastly, You can see my wall paper/banners, stay tuned for more on those!!! They may be changing as I work on the remaining systems and parts of the car.
I have a full stainless steel fuel system on the car that was finished before the SEMA trip and I have lots of “how to” pics, but I am going to save those photos for a future post. If you guys are looking for a great builder web site, check out http://www.bulldawgmusclecars.com Meanwhile, here is something I wish I had from SEMA
More build pics of HotRodRegal to come. Getting some new parts very soon!
Thanks
